With arguably the most reputable night-life in the UK, you will struggle to have a bad night out in Newcastle. With something for everyone's tastes, from classy bars to sticky-floored clubs, you are sure to find whatever you are looking for. As always is the case with Newcastle, it has been difficult to narrow this list down to just 5 nights out. However you are welcome, nay encouraged, to mix and match and get your groove on wherever the night may take you. If you are struggling for ideas though, you can't go wrong with these:
Ah, Digital Mondays. A night out so famous or infamous depending on your point of view that it should be at the top of your go-to list. A night out so popular with the locals as well as students that the queue often resembles a stampede rather a line. Officially the 31st best club in the world, sip on your £1 drinks in any of three floors on offer: Pop, Indie and RnB.
The name certainly speaks for itself, Skint Thursday’s are the perfect student night out. No matter how tight your budget, you are always guaranteed a fantastic night out on less than £10, which means more money for food afterwards! With £1 drinks all night including single vodkas, shots, jagerbombs just to name a few, there is no better place to be on a Thursday night in Newcastle.
Located right in the heart of the city, this indoor complex is home to a wide range of well-known bars such as Players, Bar Bannatyne and Beyond. These bars are extremely popular for the start of your night out and The Gate is just a stone-throw away from the rest of the clubs in the city. If you're feeling lucky after a few drinks, Aspers Casino is open all night and also hosts most major sporting events.
Dancing on tables, 2-pint stein glasses, live Oompah bands, old-school classic tunes, what more could you possibly want from a night out? Bierkeller is the place to truly let your hair down and have a good boogie with friends. Bring your own lederhosen or at least just imagine yourself in one as you dance the night away in this Bavarian beer bar.
It is a well-known fact that people like cheese. I'm not just talking about the delicious dairy food, but also the type of music that triggers our deepest nostalgia, that makes us want to scream out every word that we all know to certain songs. Whether you don't care who knows it or like to keep it hidden, everyone likes a bit of cheese. That is what Flares is. Cheap drinks, always a great atmosphere and full of fun people, Flares provides some of the best night-out memories that there are.
