The University of Nottingham is mainly set within the 330 acres of University Park, an award winning campus with open green spaces, cycle paths and state of the art teaching and learning facilities. The library and students union are situated in the heart of campus, close to the lake and cafes, bars and restaurants. The David Ross Sports Village, also located on campus is available to students and includes a fitness suite, sports halls, a swimming pool and several multi use pitches All first year students are offered a place in one of the 19 halls of residence located across the university’s campuses. Halls of residence are fully, part or self catered, offering choices to suit different tastes and budgets. The different halls of residence on campus combine to create a friendly community ideal for meeting new people, joining societies and learning new skills. The Schools of Bioscience and Veterinary Medicine are located on the Sutton Bonington campus which is 10 miles from University Park. Sutton Bonington has its own teaching and learning facilities and halls of residence, and there are regular shuttle buses between the two campuses.
