The University of London are set to introduce an online undergraduate course at a significantly lower cost than most other UK university degrees.
Priced at £5650 a year, rather than the standard price of £9000. The focus is to encourage more part time and working students. Numbers of part time students have significantly dropped after tuition fees rose.
The program will see 3000 students complete a course in computer science, produced by academics from the University.
Although technology has not had the impact many imagined on young people studying at university, the University of London has plans to beef up the numbers studying online.
